Identify and Merge Duplicated Person Records¶
Duplicated Person Records can be identified and merged at Chair→User Duplicate List. To identify merged person
records enter at least one search criteria, e. g. Track, Role etc.
Duplicates are identified using the Levenshtein distance. Two person records are considered similar, if the Levenshtein distance between first name and last name of both records is less than a quarter of the total length of first name and last name.
The table groups each two records, which are considered as similar. To merge this records, click on the radio button of the person record, which should be merged.
Merging¶
Two records are merged as follows:
- All person fields like affiliation, country etc. are shifted from the source record to the destination record, if not present in the destination.
- Person keywords from the source record are merged into the destination records.
- All papers authors by source record are transfered to the destination record.
- All assignments (Reviewer, PC Member, etc.) of the source record are transfered to the destination record.
- Roles are transfered from source to destination record.
- The email address of the source record is added to the list of email addresses of the destination record.
